Old Mill Center's Annual Auction - May 8th 2010
Thanks to everyone for making our 30th annual benefit auction such a huge success. We hosted our largest number of bidders, enjoyed scrumptious food from Valley Catering and delicious wine and beer from Airlie Winery and Rogue Ales.
The annual auction is Old Mill's largest fundraising event of the year and is critical for both program services and individual children's scholarships. This year, over $135,000 in gross revenues was raised by a lively, enthusiastic crowd of patrons. These funds allow us to include more children that need help, as well as expand programs and services, such as the RAFT (Rally Around Families Together) and Child & Family Therapy Groups. The auction provides a worthy opportunity for good people to do good things.
The evening included both a silent and live auction with many returning favorites, especially the children's Art from the Heart. After browsing the extensive selection of silent auction items, a delicious feast awaited, including complimentary beer and wine. The evening culminated with the fast-paced live auction. From a week at a faraway tropical destination to local weekend getaways, rafting adventures and golf packages, to the real highlight of the evening, an opportunity to commit scholarship dollars for deserving children and families, the OMC Annual Spring Auction had something for everyone.

Fireside Recital Series
Old Mill Center for Children and Families and the OSU Piano Program invite you to become a part of one of the most celebrated concert series in Corvallis. For the past twenty-two years, the Fireside Recital Series has provided an intimate showcase for the musical genius of both locally acclaimed and internationally celebrated artists. This season will be no exception!
Appetizers, desserts, wine and a lovely setting accompany each recital, not to mention the warm community of friendships with fellow music lovers and treasured friends of Old Mill and the Piano Program. Tickets are $150 per person with all proceeds to benefit Old Mill Center and the OSU Piano Program. Please join us!

The final recital of the series will feature an amazing program of solo and chamber music of Bach, Beethoven, Schumann and more. Our performers are Adam Matthes, viola; Jessica Lambert, violin; Anne Ridlington, cello; and Rachelle McCabe, piano and harpsichord.

Beaver Raffle
Alan Sugawara was the BIG winner of this beautiful, one-of-a-kind, work of art donated by local artist, Yuji Hiratsuka.
Mr. Sugawara has chosen to share this 4' beaver with Dr. Ed & Beth Ray, President of Oregon State University, and Bond & Marilyn Starker, Starker Forests, Inc. so you may see him around campus or gracing the beautiful water feature at the Starker Headquarters.
